Peer review of protocols and applications

All protocols and applications should undergo peer review before they are sent out of the institution.

Major applications – especially those to the Danish National Research Foundation, ERC, and Innovation Fund Denmark – must go through an extensive peer-review process.

The institute offers peer review of PhD protocols (FP3) before submission to the Graduate School.

  • Budgets < DKK 500,000 may be approved by the head of the department secretariat.

All applications must be submitted for approval at least one week before being sent.

Salary funds and overhead

When applying for salary funds, an agreement regarding office space must be made with the institute, and the activity must be approved by the section head in the relevant section environment.

If the application does not include overhead, costs for infrastructure must be budgeted, including e.g. own salary, salary for a secretary, data manager or laboratory technician, as well as expenses for PC equipment.

As a general rule, funds corresponding to 44% overhead must be applied for.

The application must be submitted together with the form “Approval of budget with overhead below 44%.”
