See the photos: Faculty party 2024

The sun was shining, the red carpet was rolled out, and the more than 300 employees from Health were smiling, which made the faculty party 2024 an enjoyable evening. See the photos from the party and from the red carpet here.

Badminton net and athletes were swapped for long tables and happy guests when the faculty held its annual summer party at DGI-Huset in Aarhus on Friday 16 August 2024. Experience or relive the evening with pictures from this year's party.

Mingling, small talk, deep conversations and loud laughter. Health employees from all departments and units turned the evening into a celebration.

True to tradition, dean Anne-Mette Hvas welcomed each employee at the end of the red carpet. At the opposite end of the carpet, the party-dressed guests were perpetuated by the faculty photographer.

Even the sceptics did not leave the table hungry, because the buffet was full of vegetarian delights that were both pleasing to the eye and palate.

For starters, carpaccio of beets with fresh chili and parmesan and vegan spring rolls with peanut butter sauce were served. The main course consisted among other things of small pies with pecorino and spinach, samosa with potato, vegetable meatballs and various salads. And the dessert was crumble with seasonal fruits.

Those employees who really wanted meat could stick around for the midnight snack. Hot dogs were served from a hot dog stand in the courtyard.

"I believe it's important that we across the faculty meet each other and work together regardless of disciplines and regardless of departments and units. We must always keep our doors and minds open. Tonight, we meet as colleagues in a different setting – and with a different purpose than in our daily work lives. Tonight, we talk, eat, drink, dance and sing together – with only one purpose: to have fun!" said the Dean in her welcome speech. And then the party had begun.

After dinner, the band "The New Originals" with clinical associate professor Søren Tang Knudsen in the lead played up to dance and singing, and later the DJ made sure that the dance floor was on fire until well into the small hours.
