New Pure profiles are on the way

All AU employees have a personal webpage, the so-called Pure profiles, and these will soon have a new and more user-friendly design to make it easier to edit and customise the content. Transition to the new Pure design involves a small task for each employee.

The Pure webpages present the university's staff to the outside world, but they are outdated and therefore are being replaced. A new and more up-to-date version of the Pure profiles will be rolled out across Aarhus University from the end of November.

Most content from the current Pure profiles will be transferred to the new design automatically. All employees – academic as well as administrative – will be given a small task in connection with the transition to the new design.

Some information needs to be updated manually

Having a profile text on the personal webpage will be compulsory. The existing profile text has to be manually transferred or rewritten, and the fields of work need updating.

If you want to save your current profile text, remember to make a copy of it and save it no later than Friday the 24 November 2023.

In the future, all employees by default will be displayed with a photo, email address and work phone number, and this information must be added if it is not already included in the Pure profile. Local conditions may require that contact information be hidden. Your manager will inform you of any requirements of this kind.

'How to' email will be sent out in week 48

In week 48 (27 November to 1 December 2023), all employees will receive an email with a clear description of how to log in and edit the page, among other informatio.

If you want a sneak peek at the new Pure design, see the article "New staff webpages on the way: Get a sneak peek at the new design”. You will also be able to read more about the changes and the process.

The Pure system will continue to be used to register publications, activities, etc. The new Pure design is merely a new way of displaying content that is already in Pure and other administrative systems.

The new Pure design has been developed by a broadly composed working group involving representatives from academic environments and the administration, and the new solution has been approved by the university management team. AU IT is coordinating the project.
